Locum/Sessional GP - Out of hours

Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for Locum GPs to join our Out of Hours service on a flexible working pattern.

Shifts are available at Hampstead Group Practice (London NW3) on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 6.30pm-8pm and Saturday 9am-5pm or at Caversham Group Practice (London NW5) on Wednesday and Friday from 6.30pm-8pm.

Main duties of the job

The service will be provided from three general practices acting as hubs in the north of the Borough. Remote Telephone and Face to Face appointments will be available for patients registered with any of the general practices in Camden with a range of clinicians, to offer the convenience of a routine appointment out of core hours.

Clinical Practice

A range of general practice consultations telephone, remote and face-to-face

Primary Care support to other clinical and non-clinical staff

Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate treatment/interventions and care for patients presenting with an undifferentiated diagnosis

Clinically examine and assess patient needs from a physiological and psychological perspective, and plan clinical care accordingly and holistically

Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate interventions/treatments for patients with complex needs.

Proactively identify, diagnose and manage treatment plans for patients at risk of developing a long-term condition (as appropriate)

Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic conditions, integrating both drug -and non-drug-based treatment methods into a management plan

  • JCTGP Vocational Training Certificate/MRCGP
  • Experience of working in general practice minimum of 6 months Post GP CCT
