Job summary

Our Wellbeing team has an opportunity for a new Complementary Therapist.

This role will be key in providing supportive therapy treatments for patients, carers, and staff.

Main duties of the job

To provide a range of individualised therapy treatments, within the sphere of competency and policy guidelines, whilst supporting the development of a complementary and wellbeing service across Havens Hospices Care Services in collaboration with the Service Lead / Wellbeing Manager.

  • To support patients emotional wellbeing during therapy sessions and to support them to access care and support.
  • To ensure accurate and individualised assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of complementary therapy treatments to patients, carers, and staff.
  • To be responsible for the provision of comprehensive recording of treatments, outcomes, and communication of patient information.
  • To demonstrate an understanding of illness associated with palliative care and the potential complications, contraindications and side effects of treatments being offered.
  • To manage referrals and bookings with the Service Lead and Wellbeing Coordinator.
