Job summary
The Lead Mental Health Practitioner role focuses on the effective coordination and delivery of the Supported Self-Help Service.
Supported Self Help is a guided self-help programme developed by Mind, designed to meet the needs of people who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health problems. The role will involve working from various community venues within Derbyshire and Derby City, delivering the Supported Self-Help programme, working proactively with individuals to support them via a facilitated self-help approach.
Main duties of the job
The role focuses on direct client work, offering guided self-help support to individuals experiencing early signs of mental health distress, such as anxiety, depression, stress, or bereavement. The successful candidate will manage a caseload, guide clients through structured support programmes, and ensure appropriate signposting to external resources where needed. They'll also collect and analyse data to monitor service delivery and outcomes, contributing to service development through user feedback and operational insight.
The Lead Mental Health Practitioner role also provides line management support for a Mental Health Practitioner, providing direction, assigning caseloads, supporting with safeguarding issues, and ensuring effective case management in collaboration with the Services Lead.
