Main duties of the job
The Role
As Head of Clinical Quality & Performance, you'll play a pivotal role in our senior clinical leadership team. This is your opportunity to:

To support the Director of Care, Executive Team, and Board of Trustees in providing assurance and oversight of Clinical Quality and CQC compliance with a strong focus on getting to outstanding
To lead on and be accountable and responsible, for all matters concerning clinical compliance and quality within the organisation including the clinical governance agenda, clinical dashboards and the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF)
To lead on and be accountable and responsible, for all reporting against external contracts including the standard NHS contracts, performance and compliance reporting.
To provide exemplary leadership and management of the Clinical Quality Team
To deputise for the Director of Care in operational and strategic matters within Farleigh Hospice, the region, and nationally.
To work collaboratively with all stakeholders in the system including but not limited to all internal teams, the Integrated Care Board, partner organisations, NHS England and the Care Quality Commission
To work closely with other members of the team to ensure timely and accurate submission of data and performance dashboards.

- Leadership training / qualification

- Skill to effectively manage change in the face of challenge and/or resistance
- Ability to manage multiple competing workloads and time effectively

- Significant knowledge of clinical quality including incident reporting, complaints, audits, infection prevention control and safeguarding
- Knowledge of patient experience including patient related outcomes, and service co-design
- Ability to design, manage and deliver on quality improvement projects and support others with this work
- Strong understanding of risk management including reporting and mitigations.
- Ability to negotiate with system partners concerning spend, transfer of care, and joint working arrangements
