Join the Outpatient pharmacy team at Warwick Hospital to deliver a safe, effective and
caring service, maintain excellent relationships with patients and
commissioners, and through this help the team achieve excellent healthcare and sound business
performance.
Maintain efficient, quick but safe supply of outpatient prescriptions, TTOs, OPAT and
chemo.
This is a full time role (40 hours per week (5 days/wk, 8 hrs per day). Flexible options may be considered.
Subject to the Company and individual's performance, an annual discretionary bonus will be awarded.
A benefits package is available to the appointed candidate upon successful completion of the six month probationary period.
The role is based at Warwick Hospital but you may be required to work at George Eliot Hospital in Nuneaton and at Stratford-upon-Avon Hospital.
We are seeking two qualified dispensers.
Main duties of the job
Undertakes
the day-to-day work of the Pharmacy, which will include ordering via JAC,
receiving, checking off stock and the dispensing of hospital, private
prescriptions and TTOs.
Handing
out medicines, over the counter sales of medicines and relevant retail sales, in
a healthcare environment.
Shares
in achieving professional best practice and KPI targets.
Minimises
the waiting time for patients but not at the cost of accuracy.
Assures
service quality and patient safety, by following SOPs and Health and Safety
policy.
Offers suggestions to improve the way we work utilising best practices.
Maintains excellent working relationships & good communications with patients & Trust employees. Contributes to the teamwork ethic so enabling the best possible service and care to patients.
Ensures confidentiality and clinical information, which may related to customers, staff, Company policies, prices, business information, & takes account of requirements of GDPR and Freedom of Information legislation.
Complete stock contract procedures & have a basic understanding of the robot functions.
Manages their own personal training & development.
Ensures that paperwork is completed accurately & on time, communicates issues as appropriate, & attends meetings as required.
About us
SWFT Clinical Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of the South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust and provides outpatient pharmacy facilities at Warwick and Stratford and Nuneaton hospitals.
The pharmacies are busy and operate Monday to Friday. The teams work well under pressure and liaise with hospital pharmacists, consultants and clinical staff to ensure safe and accurate dispensing.
