Job summary

What will you be doing Providing specialist knowledge and skills in general practice nursing. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care ensuring clear channels of communication exist between clinical, administration and community teams. Supervise and mentor the general practice nursing team and provide an effective learning environment for staff and students in the wider team. Provide assessment, treatment, screening and health education services and advice in accordance with set protocols, guidelines and NMC Code of conduct. Ensure accurate, comprehensive records of all consultations and treatments are documented. Follow infection control policies and keep up to date with policies. Responsible for treatment rooms supplies and equipment. Monitor work areas and practices to ensure they are safe, free from hazards and conform to health, safety and security legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines.

Are you an experienced Practice Nurse with Primary Care?We are looking for a Practice Nurse who will join our bank to support our practices, providing nursing services by evidenced based, quality focused care.You will be a vital member of our clinical team, delivering essential nursing care and supporting the health and well being of our patient. You will work alongside GPs, other nurses and healthcare professionals.

Salary: £23:01 Per hour

Location: Sefton Practices (Litherland, Maghull, Seaforth, Netherton, Crosby, Bootle & Thornton)

Contract: Bank

Shifts: Available between 8:00 18:30 Monday to Friday

What will you be doing

  • NMC registered with a minimum of 2 years qualified experience.
  • NMC mentorship Qualification.
  • Experience in a GP practice, primary care or community setting.
  • Experience of clinical leadership.
  • Experience in cervical cytology and immunisations
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Training certificates in BSL, Infection Control, Information Governance, Safeguarding adults and children level 3.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Resilience
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
