Primary Care Assistant Operations Manager
Do you have experience providing operational leadership in a fast-paced environment? We are looking for and Assistant Operations Manager who will provide direct line management of a multi-disciplinary team working across several of our GP practices. You will oversee the practices day to day operations, including managing staff, diary management, handling patient enquiries and ensuring the practice complies with all relevant processes and procedures.
Salary: £38,000.00 - £45,5000.00 per annum DOE
Location: Primary Care 24 Hub & practices
What will you be doing
Ensure effective operational management of direct reports including clinical personnel, sickness management, performance management, annual leave requests and appraisals in line with organisational policies
Provide a visible presence for staff during times of service delivery
Ensure regular team meetings and briefings are delivered
Oversee the Receptionist rota for your portfolio of practices
Embed and monitor systems for handling and recording of cheques and petty cash
Monitor practice KPIs and implement agreed corrective measures
Ensure performance targets and KPIs are understood by all staff within your portfolio of practices
Develop and deliver practice performance reports through relevant manager meetings
Ensure all key operating protocols and procedures are available and routinely followed by all personnel, and identify the need for new or updated protocols and procedures where required
Ensure robust procedures are in place to manage practice stock levels, including vaccines, consumables and stationery
Develop and work closely with your portfolio of practices Patient Participation Group Page 2 of 4
Work closely with other Assistant Operations Managers and the Primary Care Hub Managers to facilitate a collaborative, transparent, and knowledge-sharing environment between all practices
Main duties of the job
What do I need
A minimum of 2 years management experience, focusing on motivating, developing and coaching team members.
Experience of working in a changing and challenging environment, working to tight deadlines.
Experience of delivering across multiple services and sites.
Excellent communication skills and able to communicate effectively at all levels.
Ability to build relationships, using effective negotiation and influencing skills
Knowledge of Microsoft office.
