Job summary

Are you an Advanced Paediatric Nurse Practitioner (APNP) looking for flexible working? Primary Care 24 (PC24) are excited to share the position of Bank Advanced Paediatric Nurse Practitioner (APNP) within our paediatric primary care streaming service based at Alder Hey Childrens Hospital. Within your professional boundaries you will assess, diagnose and provide advice, care and management to children and young people presenting with undiagnosed or undifferentiated illness via face-to-face assessments. Working in this role you will demonstrate clinical reasoning, critical thinking and autonomous practice, supported by GP colleagues in the Urgent Care Centre based on site at Alder Hey Childrens Hospital.

Main duties of the job

What will I be doing Deliver quality individualised care to children and young people with a high level of autonomy underpinned by the four pillars of Clinical practice, leadership and management, education and research Clinically examine and assess patient needs from a physiological and psychological perspective, and plan clinical care accordingly. Within your professional boundaries you will assess, diagnose and prescribe where appropriate, providing advice and care for children and young people presenting with undiagnosed and undifferentiated illnesses Prescribe and review medication for therapeutic effectiveness, appropriate to patient needs and in accordance with evidence-based practice and national/local protocols and within scope of practice. You will practice autonomously whilst demonstrating a child and young person-centred approach to meet PC24 patient health care needs. The position will require the ability to establish and maintain excellent professional working relationships with hospital, primary care and wider stakeholder colleagues What do I need Full NMC Registration with no restrictions MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice Non-Medical Prescriber V300 Clinical Examination and Diagnostics Level 7 6 months experience in Paediatric care
