Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Primary Care Division as an Evening receptionist & Driver working as part of the out of hours team.

This role is covering Saturday evenings from 17:45 to 11pm and Sundays from 15:00 to 21:15, availability to work these hours are essential with this role.

Main duties of the job

As a Driver you are required to ensure the medic car assigned to the shift is checked, properly equipped and all IT equipment is logged on. The driver will act as support to the Clinician on shift and ensure they arrive at the dispatched home visits in a safe and efficient manor, and within the required time frames. These visits can range anywhere in the geographical footprint of PC24, so you must be flexible and adapt to change, as visits assigned may change due to the type of priorities that they may be assigned to

As a receptionist, you will meet and greet patients and carry out administration as necessary to support the effective operation of the service ensure the safe and timely arrival of clinicians to home visits within the PC24 geographical area.

About you

Full Clean UK Driving Licence

Previous experience in customer service

Literacy and numeracy skills at GCSE level C or equivalent

Possess excellent communication skills

Patient-focused and professional at all times

Able to problem solve and think clearly in pressured situations

Good IT skills including the use of Microsoft packages

Experience of working to policies and procedures

Experience of using EMIS (desirable)

Experience of working in a healthcare environment (desirable)
