We are looking for a qualified RN or AHP to lead our
Practice Development team in delivering excellence in all aspects of clinical
care through education, service development and evidence-based practice.
As a key member of the senior clinical team, you will
work closely with colleagues to support and develop clinical excellence and
service provision, which will include leading clinical/mandatory education and
contributing to the Hospice strategic plan.

palliative care within the Milton Keynes area. We offer 24
hour / seven days a week palliative care to people who have advanced disease,
caring for people in our Inpatient Unit which accommodates 15 patients and the
local community. Our person centred care is delivered with compassion and
respect for peoples wishes.We have an expanding Therapeutic
& Wellbeing service offering Psychological Wellbeing, Social Care,
Physiotherapy, Occupational and Complementary Therapy. Our

Job responsibilities
Lead the Practice Development Team to deliver clinical
education; develop, implement and maintain best practice initiatives,
underpinned by evidence-based practice. Work in collaboration with managers
across the organisation to progress and maintain clinical and CHKS standards
within the Hospice.
Identify and deliver training and education solutions (from, but not limited to, incidents, complaints and
audit results) that will ensure practitioners are competent and confident
to deliver the highest standards of care. Work in collaboration with leads to implement and assess clinical competencies to ensure clinical
staff are up-to-date with practice.
Lead on identified projects and work with others to implement change.
Create, co-ordinate and
facilitate a multi-professional programme
of clinical education and development of staff in accordance with the Hospice
Strategy; this will encompass elements of the clinical mandatory training. Work
in collaboration with clinical leads to ensure clinical education is delivered
to maintain excellence and patient safety.
Work in collaboration with external stakeholders and the Integrated Care Board
to promote and deliver educational programmes to enhance knowledge and skills related
to End of Life Care. Analyse
and present statistical data to support the delivery of educational programmes
and feedback.
Be proactive in proposing and implementing income
generation through the provision of education to key external stakeholders in the local and
regional health economy.
Oversee the student
placement programme for multi-professionals in health and social care.
Proactively participate in the development of operational
policies that reflect organisational values, best practice and comply
with legal and statutory requirements.
Contribute to the Hospice Strategic Plan, highlighting
practice development requirements and ensuring
activities undertaken support the agreed strategy.
Represent the Hospice at internal and external meetings as
required, maximising the profile of Willen Hospice.
Uphold CPD through revalidation and supervision to
knowledge base is current.
