Job summary

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Digital Marketing Officer to develop and implement engaging content for Keech Hospices digital channels working with the Digital Channels Manager. This is a key role, helping to ensure that our social media, email marketing, SEO, and PPC campaigns are effective, on-brand, and deliver measurable results. The post holder will work closely with the full Marketing team to ensure our digital channels support wider campaigns and organisational objectives through creative content, whilst ensuring activity is monitored and used to improve campaigns.

Main duties of the job

. Support with the development of Keech Hospices digital channels, including website, social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter), and email marketing.

Identify improvements in SEO and optimising PPC/Google Ad words spend.

Monitor and analyse digital performance metrics, providing insights to improve campaigns and supporter engagement.

Ensure all digital activity is on-brand, accessible, and compliant with GDPR and other regulations.

Using Google Analytics (GA4) regularly to monitor traffic, behaviour and acquisition and Meta analytics for social media reporting.

Researching marketing trends to make recommendations for improvements.

Job responsibilities

Strong editorial eye for writing creative, concise, clear and coherent copy for publications, leaflets, presentations, e-comms and other written content in line with current and upcoming projects and campaigns.

In charge of creating a variety of content such as posts, blogs, videos and infographics for social media, the website and email marketing to drive interaction and engagement.

Responsible for managing, scheduling and reporting all social media platforms which include LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, X and Instagram.

Creating unique content and optimising copy to enhance search engine optimisation (SEO) and improve user experience.

Working with our external agency identifying improvements in ranking for SEO on site and optimising our PPC/Google Ad words spend.

Using Google Analytics regularly to monitor traffic, behaviour and acquisition.

Measuring social media performance through LinkedIn, and Meta analytics.

Following best practice to ensure all copy has relevant keyword rich text.

Reviewing website analytics to identify opportunities for improvement for example time on site.

Proofing and writing content to make sure it is accurate and engaging for our target audience.

Developing and delivering internal communications.

Undertaking any activity deemed necessary by the Head of Marketing and Communications.

  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills, and an ability to identify, distil and convey key messages in a succinct manner.
  • Managing and creating content for multiple social media channels.
  • Writing marketing copy for a range of audiences and channels.
  • Experience of copy-editing and proofreading.
  • Experience of working within and adhering to branding/house style guidelines.
  • Experience of delivering internal communications.
  • Experience of working across multiple functions and teams
