Job responsibilities

Job Purpose: Support with developing and implementing strategies to increase engagement and maximise income from individual donors to meet ambitious targets. This includes managing the day-to-day processes of regular giving, lottery and appeals, managing external agencies through good project management skills. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with individual supporters, ensuring excellent stewardship utilising compelling cases for support. Work as needed with the wider fundraising and Marketing & comms team to align fundraising activities with the organisation's vision, mission, and strategic aims. Support successful fundraising campaigns, both online and offline, to generate income and engage supporters and to use data insights and evaluation to drive fundraising strategies and improve supporter engagement. Work collaboratively across teams to embrace a test and learn approach, ensuring our supporter data is optimised and all systems are used to meet the charitys needs. Specific Duties: Support with the development and delivery of campaigns: Work with the Personal Giving Team to create and manage a calendar of activities, including appeals, lotteries, regular giving, medical insurance, direct and virtual giving campaigns, including the Big Give. Utilise a mix of channels such as direct mail, telephone, face-to-face interactions, and digital platforms to reach potential donors. Supporting the management, scheduling and execution of the calendar of activities. Engagement and Stewardship: Identify, cultivate, and solicit new individual donors through prospect research, meetings, and community events. Support the creation of and understand strategic plans for lapsed and mid-value donors and regular giving. Maintain and enhance relationships with existing donors through timely acknowledgments, recognition, and engagement in organisational events, collaborating with other teams as appropriate. Act as the day-to-day point of contact with our Lottery Canvassing agency ensuring a professional operation. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyse donor data to support the creation of targeted prospect lists. Support the preparation of detailed financial revenue analysis and progress reports for management and other fundraising teams. Undertake post activity analysis, reporting on response rates, income/costs against budget and capturing learnings to drive the Individual Giving programme forward. Collaboration and Coordination: Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure cohesive implementation of the annual giving plan from research to evaluation. Coordinate with event planners in all areas to deliver donor benefits and support donor acquisition and retention. Collaborate with the Individual Giving Manager, wider Personal Giving Team and Public Fundraising Team on the development and execution of our Donor Journeys Innovative Fundraising Strategies, test and learn: Implement multi-channel fundraising strategies, including direct mail, email, outbound calling, social media, and personal outreach. Work with the fundraising team to develop new ideas and best practices to improve donor retention and increase annual gift amounts with a clear focus on digital and automation. Build a clear understanding of digital and automated fundraising, sharing knowledge across all fundraising and marketing teams. Support the plan and test the leverage of lottery donors to regular giving. Plan for an increased reach of lottery players through additional canvassing, testing canvassing in geographically specific areas with some restricted asks, linked to the case for support. Administrative and Project Management: Manage your agreed day-to-day operations of the Individual Giving programme, ensuring all activities are completed accurately, on time and within budget. Contribute to the budgeting process. Maintain accurate records of donor communications and update donor management systems regularly.
