Job summary

Are you a Registered Nurse with a passion for educating others?

We are introducing the role of Clinical Development Nurse to provide expert guidance and oversight to clinical staff on our In-Patient Unit andCommunity as well as Supportive Care Services.

Working with people living with life limiting illness whether that be in their homes or in the Hospice is very different to working in a hospital. You have more time to spend caring for each patient, getting to know them and their support network and can make a real difference in helping improve their quality of life.

Working as part of a team, our palliative care nurses use a patient centred approach and evidenced based practices to administer medication and treatment as prescribed in accordance with the NMC and the Trusts policies.

This is a great time to join a long standing and well regarded palliative care provider who is passionate about providing person centred care and developing their people.

Main duties of the job

  • This role combines clinical expertise, leadership, and education to drive excellence in palliative and end of life care. It requires a dynamic professional capable of mentoring staff, implementing best practices, and enhancing the organisations community presence. The position also emphasises innovation in care practices and a commitment to continuous quality improvement.

And, our famous donkeys Dylan and Dudley are also much-loved additions to the friendly team at St Peter & St James Hospice!
