We Can Talk is looking for passionate acute hospital staff to volunteer to join us as We Can Talk Champions. Champions play a vital part in increasing awareness and participation in our award-winning mental health e-learning programme, specifically designed for acute hospital staff.
If you haven't yet completed the We Can Talk Core Curriculum, you can start today at wecantalk.online/register. This training is free, co-produced by NHS staff and people with lived experience, and counts towards your CPD.

Main duties of the job
As a Champion, you will:
- Work with the We Can Talk team to increase participation in the Core Curriculum training at your trust.
- Motivate and engage your colleagues to complete the training.
- Promote awareness of the training by sharing resources and encouraging participation.
Youll receive support and resources from the We Can Talk team, including engagement materials, guidance, and access to a network of other champions.

We Can Talk is an award-winning, nurse-led organisation transforming how hospital staff support patients attending due to their mental health.
Since 2017, we have delivered over 50,000 hours of co-produced education, combining insights from hospital staff, mental health professionals, and people with lived experience. Supported by NHS England, our free Core Curriculum training has reached tens of thousands of staff, driving cultural change and improving patient outcomes across the NHS.

- Support local leadership: Work with the We Can Talk team to increase participation in the Core Curriculum training at your trust. Youll receive resources, guidance, and direct support to help achieve this goal.
- Encourage engagement: Spread the word about the training, inspiring and motivating colleagues to participate.
- Drive impact: Be the local voice of We Can Talk, supporting your colleagues in developing the skills to better care for patients attending due to their mental health.
We will provide champions with:
- A bespoke engagement pack that includes posters, stickers, pin badges, and other materials to help drive awareness and participation.
- Access to a supportive network of champions from other trusts and hospitals.
- Ongoing support and guidance from the We Can Talk team to maximise your impact.
