Job summary
The North London Hospice community palliative care service covers three boroughs: Barnet, Enfield and Haringey.
We are looking for an experienced nurse with leadership skills to lead and manage the Enfield community service. You will have the opportunity of working in a friendly team dedicated to providing a high-quality service, while also working autonomously.
The service is supported by our Hospice at Home service, Inpatient Unit, Outpatients and Wellbeing and Overnight Patient Advice service. We aim to support people diagnosed with life-limiting illness, to be cared for in their preferred place of care, which is usually their own home. Our community palliative care teams provide a seven-day service.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for providing nursing leadership in the Enfield Community Team. The post holder will be expected to lead on implementing the clinical strategy and associated service development. They will work as part of the multi-disciplinary Service Management Team (SMT) to ensure the continued development of the community services are in line with the strategic plan. The post holder will be professional and managerially responsible for nursing staff and care within Enfield Community Team.
