Job summary
This is an exciting new opportunity for Birmingham, offering the chance to shape and grow an emerging service that will make a real difference to the lives of our patients. We are looking for a passionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RMN /RGN) with postregistration experience in alcohol and substance misuse treatment, and a strong understanding of the pharmacological treatments that support recovery.
Main duties of the job
In this role, you will be an integral part of our positive, committed clinical team across the Birmingham division delivering high quality assessments, consultations and short term interventions both group and 1:1 for individuals experiencing substance misuse challenges, including those with cooccurring mental health difficulties or long term physical health conditions.
You will work collaboratively with patients, families, carers and a wide range of professionals, including the ward based MDT, ensuring every person receives compassionate, coordinated and effective care.
Your expertise in risk assessment will enable you to develop thoughtful, person centred treatment and risk management plans that support safe care, promote recovery and contribute to well planned, hopeful discharge pathways.
As part of our forward thinking service, you will play an active role in championing quality improvements, shaping innovative approaches to care and contributing to service development within St Andrews and the wider Reach Out collaborative. This is a role where your ideas, enthusiasm and expertise can truly influence the future of how we support people towards better outcomes.
