Main duties of the job

Reporting directly into the Executive Director of Quality and Nursing you will be responsible and accountable for Charity-wide oversight of our people, systems and processes associated with Freedom to Speak Up.

You will act as the strategic lead responsible for ensuring all colleagues have access to a confidential route to raising concerns supporting the opening up of our cultures.

Your role will focus on developing our strategic approach to FTSU and identifying barriers to staff raising concerns through line management and other routes available.

You will lead a team of Guardians across the Charity with direct connection across our inpatient and non-hospital services.

You will collaborate with colleagues across the Charity, including the wider Executive Team with a direct line to the Chief Executive and FTSU Lead Non-Executive Director.

  • You will have both the breadth and depth of skills to fulfil the role described above and strong leadership skills to inspire and lead with a focus on excellence and accountability.
  • You will also be a role model for the St Andrews CARE values and the pillars of our Leadership Commitment including compassionate, person-centred care.
  • Whilst this is a full-time role, we welcome applications from people keen to explore part-time and/or job-share opportunities.
