Job summary

Can you provide outstanding clinical leadership for medical staff within our inpatient services?

Working closely with our Chief Medical Officer, you will ensure safe, effective and patient-centred psychiatric care across the Northampton site.You will provide senior clinical leadership and operational oversight for medical staff within the organisations inpatient services.

Main duties of the job

Your role will combine day-to-day operational management of the medical workforce with active participation in clinical governance and longer-term workforce development, supporting the organisations mission to deliver outcomes driven, high-quality, compassionate, and evidence-based care.

  • You will bring an excellent understanding of medical workforce management, clinical governance and revalidation processes and have a strong track record in delivering outcomes through highly engaged and empowered teams.
  • You will have both the breadth and depth of skills to fulfil the role described above and strong leadership skills to inspire and lead with a focus on excellence and accountability. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, influence and support senior clinicians.
  • You will also be a role model for the St Andrews CARE values and the pillars of our Leadership Commitment including compassionate, person-centred care.
