Specialist ADHD Practitioner - Assessment

Job summary
Conduct comprehensive ADHD assessments for adults in line with West Yorkshire ICB Quality Assessment Standards, considering co-occurring and differential diagnoses. Work autonomously and adaptively, liaising with system partners as needed to reach diagnostic conclusions. Perform risk and safeguarding assessments throughout the patient journey. Maintain accurate clinical records on the electronic patient record and contribute to service improvement. Participate in clinical supervision, MDT meetings, and team discussions to manage complexity and ensure consistent, high-quality care. Triage referrals, respond to patient queries, and deliver post-diagnostic psychoeducation. Communicate complex clinical information effectively and uphold professional development through ongoing learning and appraisal.
This role will comprise a blend of remote and face to face assessment for patients.

- Conducting detailed ADHD assessments aligned with West Yorkshire ICB Quality Standards
- Considering differential and co-occurring diagnoses to make informed clinical decisions
- Managing risk and safeguarding needs throughout the patient journey
- Working autonomously whilst collaborating with system partners to ensure accurate, coordinated care
- Delivering post-diagnostic psychoeducation to empower patients
- Maintaining precise, timely, and professional clinical records
- Triaging referrals and responding to patient queries with empathy and clarity
- Participating in clinical supervision, MDT meetings, and service development initiatives
- Actively contributing to a culture of safety, learning, and continuous improvement
