Main duties of the job

We are currently recruiting two full-time Band 5 Rotational Nurses to join the Rainbows Clinical Team, working across both our Hospice at Home Team and Hospice Care Team on a permanent rotational basis. The role will be permanently shared between two nursing positions, with one starting in Hospice at Home and the other in the Care Team. For 6 months you will provide clinical care to babies, children and young people with life threatening/terminal illnesses in their homes, offering short breaks and support to parents/carers. For the other 6 months you will work within the Hospice setting, delivering a high standard of nursing care to babies, children and young people, in a family led environment. This rotation will then be continuously repeated. This unique permanent role offers a rare opportunity to build a broad and meaningful skill set in childrens palliative careboth in the home and hospice settingwhile being supported by a multidisciplinary team that values your development.

Hospice at Home Location & Hours of work: Location: You will be based at the Hospice, traveling across the East Midlands, covering all 5 counties: Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Northamptonshire and Lincolnshire. Due to the nature of the role, the ability to travel across the East Midlands and hold your own UK Driving Licence is essential. Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week. Working on a rota pattern between Monday and Sunday 8:00am 6:00pm. Hospice Care Team Location & Hours of work: Location: At the Hospice, Lark Rise, Loughborough, Leicestershire, LE11 2HS. Hours or work: 37.5 hours per week. Shift patterns between Monday and Sunday, 24 hours.
