Our therapists are invaluable. They help us to deliver a vast range of services across the organisation, through giving their time at the hospice.
As a Complementary Therapist based at Rainbows Hospice in Loughborough, but with an expectation to support outreach services. These include working in people homes and hospitals within our service area.
You will play an important part in helping Rainbows continue to make a positive difference to the lives of the increasing number of families who rely on us. You will contribute to the delivery of our range of natural, holistic therapies. This role is focused on providing therapies for the babies, children and young people, as well as parents and family members of the children and young people in our care and the wider team of staff. We aim to offer opportunities for them to switch off, de-stress and relax for a period of time.
Main duties of the job
As a qualified Therapist you will already be sensitive to the needs of others, have excellent listening skills and deliver high quality treatment in a professional manner.
You will also have a recognition and understanding of providing complementary therapy to diverse cultures and be aware of the importance of respecting confidentiality.
It is essential that you hold a registered recognised complimentary therapy qualification at Level 3 or above in massage and Reflexology. It is desirable that you have additional recognised qualifications in Aromatherapy, Indian head massage and baby massage.
