We are recruiting two full time, experienced Community & Events Fundraisers to join the Hospice's Fundraising Team.
As we celebrate 40 years since admitting our first patient, St Leonards Hospice is investing in fundraising with our wonderful supporters, making sure that everyone knows about the difference our work makes and how they can be part of making it happen through fun and engaging ways of raising money!
The purpose of these roles is to support the Community & Events Manager in the planning and delivery of an annual calendar of fundraising activity, engaging as many people as possible in raising the funds we need to care for more local patients, families and carers.
Main duties of the job
These roles will cover:
- Planning, promoting and delivering the Hospice's own fundraising activities and events.
- Engaging with people organising their own fundraising activities for the Hospice, helping them raise as much as possible.
- Engaging with supporters taking part in third-party activities and events to raise money for the Hospice, helping them raise as much as possible.
Our ideal candidates will:
- Have previous experience of working in a fundraising or event organisation role
- Have experience in building relationships and supporter engagement
- Be highly organised and be able to work to tight deadlines
- Be a friendly and effective communicator
- Be able to work as part of a team

This role will primarily work Monday - Friday however we will consider flexible working arrangements such as some working from home and compressed hours. There will be a requirement to work weekends and evenings when our events are taking place.
