Job summary
Could you be our new Associate Director for Nursing and
Advanced Practice? Do you want a chance to help shape and improve care for our

This role offers an opportunity for an experienced Advanced
Clinical Practitioner to join our leadership team. In addition to your own
patient caseload you will support in the development and implementation of our
clinical strategy of providing high-quality patient-centred primary care
services, by providing clinical and professional leadership, with a focus on
the nursing team and advanced practitioners working within the organisation.
You will have experience of working across the breadth of
Primary Care managing acute, chronic and complex presentations. You will be a
credible leader with experience of delivering improvements in patient care.
Important
Information:
This is a split role with 15 hours per week allocated for
the Associate Director role and the remaining hours (minimum 15 hours) working
as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner
based in one of the NCPC practices. The 2 roles have different salary
scales:
Associate
Director - Starting from £67,791
ACP -
£55,532 - £68,271

Main duties of the job
Support in
the development and implementation of NCPCs clinical strategy of providing
high-quality patient-centred primary care services, by providing clinical and
professional leadership, with a focus on the nursing team and advanced
practitioners working within the organisation.
Be
passionate about, and committed to providing excellent, patient-centred primary
care, supporting the development of clinical models which bring together access
to the appropriate member of the clinical team and encourage continuity of
care.
Provide
assurance to the Directors that robust systems of governance and performance
management are in place, and that high quality patient-led services are being
developed and delivered to nationally recognised best practice
Work as
part of a collective leadership team to continue the development of a
clinically-led and management-enabled organisation.
Lead on
the implementation of the NCPC Nursing and ACP Plan.
Champion
the development and governance of nursing and advanced practice roles across
NCPC practice.
Create and
develop a culture of professional development and learning amongst the nursing
and ACP team at an individual, practice, locality and organisation.
Provide support
and be involved with workforce planning and development of the nursing and ACP
team at practice, locality and organisational level.
Model
excellent professional behaviours and clinical excellence.

- Current registered professional with NMC or HCPC
- 1st level registration
- Full completion and qualified in the MSc Advanced Practice Clinical Masters Degree including Independent Non-Medical Prescriber V300
Experience
Essential
- Experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner working across the breadth of Primary Care managing acute/chronic/complex presentations
- Evidence of appropriate continuing professional development activity to maintain up-to-date knowledge and on-going competence in all aspects of the ACP role
- Evidence of working autonomously and as part of a team
- Proven ability to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of their own clinical practice

- Ability to assess and manage patient risk effectively and safely in a patient centred way.
- Able to establish effective communication pathways with internal and external stakeholders
