Job summary

Copeland and Workington localities have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join us as a finance assistant apprentice. Working within a supportive, innovative team to provide high quality finance and administrative support across all areas of the finance function. You will be given excellent on the job training whilst working towards an AAT qualification in Accounting on a level 2 Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship programme.

Interviews will be held on Friday 6 September at Beech House, Egremont.

Main duties of the job

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

Working with the Finance Assistants on the development and implementation of locality wide finance systems

Learning and developing your knowledge of finance using the Xero accounting software in conjunction with Approval Max

Maintaining accurate supplier contacts in Xero

Processing supplier bills in Approval Max

Supporting the system for the management and payment of suppliers

Dealing with Service Delivery Lead queries on supplier bills

Liaising with suppliers to resolve queries

Entry of petty cash expenses in Xero
