The Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent Talking Therapies Service is a creative organisation which embraces staff ideas to constantly seek ways of taking the service forward to adapt to changing expectations. You must be a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner who can provide evidence of at least one year of post qualification experience working within the PWP role. You will have completed the PWP Supervision Training. You will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of how anxiety and depression present in Primary Care. You will also be either BABCP or BPS registered. The successful candidates will join the team at Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent Wellbeing Service. Working as part of the Step 2 team, we will offer numerous prospects for learning and development through strong team support, clinical supervision, and integration with our Step 3 team. In addition to this we offer a comprehensive employee package including the opportunity to work at home 2 days a week following a six month probation period, and allocated time for the development of Specialist Interests. Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

• A degree related to Mental Health e.g. Psychology
• AND
• An NHS Talking Therapies qualification as a psychological wellbeing practitioner
• AND
• Registration as a Psychological Wellbeing
• Practitioner with either BABCP or BPS.
• PWP qualification, or equivalent.
• Training in risk assessment
• AND
• Registration as a Psychological Wellbeing
• Practitioner with either BABCP or BPS.

Desirable

• Training in CBT.
• A qualification or substantial experience in Professional Supervision

Experience

Essential

• Experience of supervising others within a therapy setting.
• Significant experience of working with people with common mental health problems.
• Ability to demonstrate a range of post qualifying experience (min 1 year) in offering and delivering the range of evidence-based IAPT low intensity interventions such as guided self-help and group psycho-education
• Consolidated and reflective supervised post-qualifying experience in a community setting.
• Experience of 'partnership working' Substantial experience of multi disciplinary teamwork
• Experience of working with suicidal clients and of risk management
• Experience of working within the IAPT culture

Desirable

• Experience in drug/alcohol management
• Experience of dealing with clients whose children are subject to Child Protection legislation
• Experience of co-working with general nurses and health visitors in a Primary Care setting
• Experience of screening, assessing and working with a wide spectrum of mental health issues and working with people with moderate common mental health problems
• Experience of audit and research
• Experience of and ability to provide mentor/supervisor role
