Job summary

We're looking to appoint an experienced People Business Partner to provide strategic support to help deliver MHM's ambitious 3 year strategy. We work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. Reporting to the Director of People and OD, our People Business Partner will support our operational teams to implement our People Strategy, ensuring our colleagues are valued and empowered, enabling them to deliver life changing solutions to the people who access our services.

Main duties of the job

Contribute to the development and delivery of the People Strategy through a collaborative relationship with the directorate/s. 2 * Develop a thorough understanding of the strategic and operational people issues in the relevant business area and work proactively with managers to support the delivery of local plans. 3 * Work with managers to develop and support the delivery of progressive people management practices and innovative People solutions in line with MHM's policies and procedures. 4 * Drive continual improvement initiatives to enhance workforce planning and performance and deliver ongoing business improvement. 5 * Role model the organisation's values and promote a culture which fosters positive employee relations and ensures fair and consistent treatment of all employees. 6 * Coach, support and challenge managers in the application of People policies and procedures, providing advice and guidance on people issues in order to minimise risks and develop a positive and productive culture and enhance employee engagement. 7 * Support the Director of People and OD on the strategic People issues arising from business growth including TUPE transfer, restructuring and changes to terms and conditions. 8 * Provide transformational advice on change management initiatives including consideration of organisational and service redesign; job role design; and alternative delivery models in order to improve service delivery

Job Title: People Business Partner Hours: 37.5 hours per week Location: Flexible Salary: £45,427 About the role We're looking to appoint an experienced People Business Partner to provide strategic support to help deliver MHM's ambitious 3 year strategy. We work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. Reporting to the Director of People and OD, our People Business Partner will support our operational teams to implement our People Strategy, ensuring our colleagues are valued and empowered, enabling them to deliver life changing solutions to the people who access our services. You will be a trusted strategic advisor for your stakeholders, providing expert advice, guidance and coaching to managers, proactively identifying people issues and trends, formulating and implementing solutions. The role will be responsible for the line management, development and coaching of People Advisors, and you will act as a mentor and role model to them. This role is a vital link between the Business Partners, People Operations and our Learning teams, by overseeing the end-to-end delivery of work on multiple activities and projects at any one time. You will work with across the team to ensure we continue to be customer centric, providing solutions to barriers with innovation and automation. About you You will have a proactive approach to problem solving and enabling the business to find solutions to people challenges. You will have experience of working in a similar role, preferably within NHS or the Health and Social Care sector and have the ability to think critically and take a logical approach to problem solving. Through providing support to senior managers and leadership teams, People Business Partners play a key role in planning, developing, and identifying solutions that create value and ensure organisational and Directorate level strategies are realised. You will have demonstrable knowledge of working within complex change settings, and have experience of organisational change and TUPE in a national organisation. Whilst our Head Office is based in Sunderland, we are open to candidates from across the country who have the flexibility to provide in-person and remote support to our teams throughout England, especially in the South region. Base location will be agreed with the successful candidate. We support services that operate evenings, weekends and 24/7 365; therefore there will need to be flexibility to support services at times outside of office hours.
