Job summary
We have an amazing opportunity for a Team Manager to join our established Ramsgate Safe Haven Team. You will be working alongside and line managing Crisis Recovery workers and Peer Support Workers to provide crisis support to individuals attending the Safe Haven.
Ramsgate Safe Haven is an out of hours mental health support service, running open access to any individuals in Ramsgate and the surrounding areas. We work with anyone experiencing a mental health crisis or heading towards a crisis.
Main duties of the job
To ensure the delivery of high-quality recovery focused support to clients
within a designated service/location.
2 * To actively promote the service, managing all client focussed activity
within a designated service / location, including; assessment and
management of referrals, voids management (housing), needs
assessment, support planning, risk management and safety planning
and regular review of need.
3 * To ensure completion of all My Future Matters documentation or other
relevant client management information.
4 * To ensure that all incidents and safeguarding concerns are managed in
line with MHM policies and procedures.
5 * To proactively liaise with the relevant Area Manager ensuring the timely
escalation of any issues which may affect the safety and quality of
service provision.
6 * To provide appropriate support and line management for staff members
within relevant team/s, including the provision of induction, supervision,
appraisal, development, absence and performance management in line
with MHM's policies and procedures.
7 * To ensure that staffing resources and capacity is adequate to deliver
high quality services to clients and to meet contractual requirements,
including recruitment of new staff and management of the staff rota.
8 * To ensure that all financial authorisation procedures are adhered to.
9 * To communicate effectively and to provide reports and associated
documentation of a high standard to management and commissioners
as required.

Advanced understanding of complex mental health needs and the ability to engage and network with other professionals is key. There also needs to be experience of leading and supervising a team and knowledge around delivering a safe and high quality service to those in need in an unpredictable environment.
