Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Northumberland NHS Talking Therapies for a Service Manager to support the delivery of our operational services. Our Talking Therapy team consists of a range of Psychological therapists working across steps 2, 3 and 4 delivering NICE evidenced talking therapies and an admin team. The team is led by a Clinical Lead, Deputy Clinical Lead, Office Manager and Step Leads.

Main duties of the job

To manage the Service including operational management of the Prime Provider and contract management of identified Sub-Contractors, where applicable 2 To be responsible for ensuring overall performance is achieved and reported in line with local and nationally agreed targets 3 To identify and implement opportunities for expansion of the service and growth into developing areas within the overall IAPT programme. 4 To act as decision making and problem solving lead within the service 5 To ensure service-wide understanding and implementation of risk management best practice. 6 To act as lead for overall promotion for MHM in the region 7 To make sure that the service and all its staff comply and work within MHM core values, policies and procedures. 8 To lead on collaborative work with other MHM IAPT services across the country promoting best practice and shared learning.

Job Title: Service Manager Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week Salary: £55,960 Location: Unit 4, Telford Court, Morpeth, Northumberland (unit 1,4,5 & 8), NE61 2DB An exciting opportunity has arisen in Northumberland NHS Talking Therapies for a Service Manager to support the delivery of our operational services. Our Talking Therapy team consists of a range of Psychological therapists working across steps 2, 3 and 4 delivering NICE evidenced talking therapies and an admin team. The team is led by a Clinical Lead, Deputy Clinical Lead, Office Manager and Step Leads. Treatment is delivered by telephone, in groups, face to face and using digital therapy options. About the role NHS Northumberland Talking Therapies provides Talking Therapies services to the communities of Northumberland on behalf of the NHS. Our practitioners deliver a range of therapies up to and including Step 4 interventions. The role of Service Manager provides strategic operational leadership of the service and is jointly responsible with the Clinical Lead in the planning, development and delivery of a high quality, responsive and accessible NHS Talking Therapies service. You will support be responsible for the operational, financial and workforce management, identifying best practice and demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement. You will develop positive relationships with key stakeholders, partners and sub contractors, delivering contract reports to our commissioners and ensuring that NHS Northumberland Talking Therapies remains a respected and valued partner within the changing mental health landscape. About you You will represent MHM at local, regional and national level by building relationships with the ICB, partner agencies and clinical forums. This role is ideal for passionate and creative individuals who are excited by operational development, supporting staff and delivering gold standard care in an NHS Talking Therapies setting. You will hold degree level (or equivalent) in a health or management subject and a commitment to continuous professional development.
