Job summary

We are looking for individuals who aspire to work in Mental Health and Employment Support. You will be working in partnership with the local Talking Therapies Service to provide employment support to those who have mild to moderate anxiety and or depression. Your role will involve supporting individuals to gain employment, retain current employment and return to work after a period of absence.

Main duties of the job

Meet personal performance targets and Key Performance Indicators Manage a caseload of clients using a variety of coaching strategies, ensuring the are prepared for interviews and job searching. Assessing client's needs and creating tailored SMART action plans to support employment goals. To signpost to local specialist services to obtain support to address specific issues (e.g. debt advice, employment law, benefit advice and vocational training) Proactively participate in continuous improvement activities to ensure that the service continues to deliver excellent customer service. Fully comply with company policies including those for personal data security, safeguarding and health & safety

Employment Advisor Hertfordshire Fixed-term until 31st March 2026 37.5 hours per week £25,958 per annum + £1560 London Weighting with progression up to £ 28662 per annum + £1560 London Weighting. You will be working in partnership with the local Talking Therapies Service to provide employment support to those who have mild to moderate anxiety and or depression. Your role will involve supporting individuals to gain employment, retain current employment and return to work after a period of absence. This could be to help with job retention, liaison with employers or assisting people in finding and keeping paid or voluntary work. It is important to understand the principles of the Equalities Act and how it relates to Employment Rights. The role involves lone working with clients on a one-to-one basis through phone calls, video calls or face to face in community location. You will be provided with the equipment to work from your own home or in the local community. You will be expected to self-manage a caseload of clients and set realistic employment goals and action plans. As part of your role, you will be expected to work in line with MHM values to promote the employment service within the wider community. You will liaise with Talking Therapies PWPs, HITs and external agencies such as Job Centre Plus and community providers. Key Duties

  • Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills and a positive approach to challenging and overcoming any barriers
  • Ability to plan and organise a workload to meet required targets and deadlines.
