Job Title: Senior Employment Advisor Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week Service opening hours: Monday - Thursday 8am - 8pm; Friday 8am - 5pm; Saturday 9am - 1pm. Salary: £28,500, with progression up to £31,500 per annum Base: Morpeth, with travel across Northumberland to meet client need (relevant expenses will be paid). About the role Working as a part of a team of Senior Employment Advisors, you will work closely with mental health workers, partners, and other agencies. The role involves line management of a small team of Employment Advisors including responsibility for implementing relevant aspects of MHM HR policies. Our Talking Therapies service has strong clinical and operational teams, offering skilled support and focusing on clinical and service development and innovative practice. About you You will have experience of working within employment and knowledge of employment rights, job retention is also a key component. You will demonstrate an ability to prioritise a diverse workload and manage this effectively. You will understand the principles of the Equalities Act 2010 and how it relates to employment rights. You will be educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in the areas of Advice and Guidance, Health and Social Care or Customer Service. An awareness and/or experience of working with people who have experienced mental health issues would be an advantage. You will be able to demonstrate the skills and abilities needed to help others identify and overcome employment barriers. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate a proactive and highly motivated attitude. The role will include travel across the area and access to your own transport is essential (relevant expenses will be paid). Please refer to the attached job description for further details.
