About the role

We are seeking a qualified and motivated High Intensity Psychological Therapist to join our team in a clinical leadership role. You will oversee the clinical aspects of our qualified and trainee High Intensity provision.

Our team includes therapists qualified in CBT, IPT, DIT, Counselling for Depression, EMDR and Couple's Therapy for Depression.

You will provide appropriate clinical supervision and support the development of best practice at Step 3 and within the wider service.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone wishing to step into a clinical leadership role or enhance their skills in clinical leadership.

An uplift in wage will also be considered for those not already at the top of banding to reflect the leadership responsibilities of this role.

Terms and conditions for this post are NHS comparable, not identical, and the successful candidates will be employed by Mental Health Matters, a non-NHS organisation.

Qualifications

Essential

• Qualified as a HIT for a minimum of 2 years.

Desirable

• Management Qualification
• ECDL

Experience

Essential

• Relevant experience in Primary Care treating anxiety and depression.
• Experience of providing line management and/or clinical supervision.
• Demonstrable experience of working in primary care mental health services
• Ability to meet own agreed/specified service targets
• Worked in a service where agreed targets in place demonstrating clinical outcomes
• Ability to manage own time
• Demonstrates high standards in written communication
• Able to write clear reports and letters to referrers
• Experience with routine outcome monitoring
• Experience of liaising with other professional groups

Desirable

• Experience of appraising clinical staff on an annual basis.
• Experience of reviewing staff performance and effectively challenging under performance.
