About the role
As a Qualified Social Worker with Seashell, you will work alongside our Head of Safeguarding to deliver the Safeguarding Development and Improvement plan.
Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families and carers and the wider Seashell team, you will be leading case work across the Trust for both our children and young adults.
Safeguarding will be at the heart of what you do and remain the absolute priority. Youll evaluate risk and protective factors to mitigate and manage case work effectively, and work to deliver projects and initiatives to strengthen safeguarding knowledge across staff teams and service user groups.
You will also provide support and training to staff, families and carers and people who use our service when required and, most importantly, comply to social work England Professional Standards to act safely, respectfully and with professional integrity.
You will also get the opportunity to support Social Work students on placement to fulfil the objectives of their course,

Registered social worker with two years post qualification is essential
A professional Social Work qualification (social work degree or DipSW) is essential with experience of working in a social care, education or health setting, executing safeguarding duties in line with relevant legislation.
Mental Capacity Act 2005 assessment and best interest procedures experience.
Experience of safeguarding case work with children, adults at risk of abuse and families
Relevant CPD or qualifications to evidence a sound working knowledge of statutory safeguarding procedures for children and adults
Previous experience of managing complex case work, engaging with multi-disciplinary professionals
Experience of delivering evidence-based practice through direct work with children and adults at risk
Build effective, professional relationships with multidisciplinary teams, people who use our services, families/ carers and lead safeguarding case work across the Trust, setting standards and demonstrate accountability for practice decisions
Organise and manage time effective
Flexible, approachable and accessible team player
