This vacancy is for 20 hours per week and will be responsible for the thorough daily cleaning of the Theatre Department according to St Hugh's Hospital policies and procedures at a level that meets or exceeds national cleanliness standards

Main duties of the job

HMT St Hugh's, along with their sister hospital HMT Sancta Maria in Swansea, has a mission to provide safe, high quality care in order to improve the health, wellbeing and independence of their patients. Part of the Healthcare Management Trust, HMT St Hugh's is a non-profit organisation using their surpluses to fund medical research, educational grants and dementia charities

Job responsibilities

To carry out daily cleaning checklists

To handle and remove waste in line with segregation processes and procedures

To unpack and stack all linen and laundry

To provide cover for colleagues during absences

To ensure cleaning trolleys are fully stocked with sufficient cleaning materials and equipment

Report any damages or hazards that are present in the theatre department to the theatre manager

Adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to your role

Carry out any additional related duties as requested by line manager

Ensure all documentation is completed correctly and available for audit purposes.

Utilise protective equipment provided in line with infection control policy
