Hope House Children’s Hospices have an opportunity for a Health Care Support Worker to join our Care team based in Ty Gobaith Children’s Hospice, Conwy. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis working 37.5 hours per week. In return, our Health Care Support Worker will receive a competitive rate of £22,226 to £25,079 per annum, plus enhancements.

About the Health Care Support Worker role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and dedicated Health Care Support Worker to join our care team at our Hospice in Conwy, to provide holistic care and support to children and young people with complex, life threatening conditions and their families.
You will be a passionate and caring Health Care Support Worker working within our friendly and experienced team, you will be fully supported to undertake a wide range of duties relating to the care and personal needs of the child young person. We take pride in being a centre of excellence for childrens palliative care and offer a fully equipped child centred environment set in beautiful spacious grounds overlooking the Deganwy Estuary.
We are looking for a Health Care Support Worker who
- Provides high quality care in accordance with the child young person’s individual care-plan under the supervision of an appropriately qualified registered nurse.
- Has the ability to act as a key worker supporting families through advocating, navigating and signposting them to services to meet their needs within their community
- Has the energy and enthusiasm to participate in play, recreational and learning activities for the child young person, utilising all resources available and in collaboration with the play leaders.
We are looking for someone who has previous experience of care work, particularly with children or young people and or complex needs. The perfect candidate will have the compassion and communication skills to put the needs of the child and their family at the heart of everything you do, so that we are able to provide the right care and support for them, when they need us most.
