Job summary

Your role as Learning and Development Manager will be to work collaboratively as part of the HR Team to provide a proactive, customer focused and efficient learning and development service. You will be keen to build on our established learning culture, focusing on building technical skills and knowledge, increasing management and leadership capacity and harnessing future talent.

You will be keen to build on our established learning culture, focusing on building technical skills and knowledge; increasing management and leadership capacity, supporting change programmes; and harnessing future talent.

Creative and solutions focused, you will have outstanding communication, IT and planning skills; possess a “can do attitude;” and have a strong background in managing learning and development activities.

You will have knowledge of current and emerging L&D trends, best practices and technologies; possess excellent training design and delivery skills; and be experienced in the use of coaching, mentoring and psychometrics to aid personal development.

Friendly and personable, you will be flexible in your approach to work and be comfortable to travel from your base in our Oswestry Hospice, to our second Hospice in Conwy and to undertake some work from home.
