The Retreat operates both remotely and from base in York, providing high quality services for adults, children, and young people, including a large NHS contract

Were expanding our service and looking for extra input for ADHD assessment and prescribing, working predominantly in York although some hybrid working a possibility.

Our ADHD client base is mostly adult, but we would also like to expand our CYP offer, and we would like to offer more joint autism / ADHD assessments in our two-clinician team process.

If you could offer us regular time either in office hours or in evenings or weekends, we'd like to talk with you. We offer competitive sessional rates, free parking, office facilities and great team support.

Main duties of the job

  • Assessment for ADHD (for adults or young people)
  • Report writing
  • ADHD medication titration
  • Shared care prescribing
  • Annual reviews
  • Membership of our strong MDT

We're looking for an Associate Specialist / Consultant / GP, but this is negotiable for the right candidate for a Middle Grade / Specialty Doctor.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • Post-graduate qualifications in Psychiatry and accreditation with RC PSYCH professional body or equivalent e.g., MRCPsych, GMC registered with a license to practice. Must hold consultant status on the Specialist Register for Adult Psychiatry

Experience

Essential

  • Experience and appropriate training in working with clients presenting with neurodevelopmental conditions, eating disorders, general psychiatry and/or other specialisms.
