Job summary

As our Head of Martlets Care and Registered Manager you'll be working closely with the Director of Quality and Improvement andtheDirector of Finance as we develop services to meet the care needs of our community.

You will lead the professional carers and office staff to deliver quality and personal care to a range of clients across Brighton and Hove.

Its an exciting time to join Martlets as work is underway on a new purpose-built hospice in Hove which will provide outstanding facilities for care and services.

Main duties of the job

Youll be:

  • An expert in domiciliary care operational leadership.

  • An experienced Registered Care Manager with knowledge of CQC standards, compliance, and quality assurance.

  • Able to develop and lead an income generating business.

  • Confident in translating strategic objectives into operational goals for self and others.

  • Using expert skills to ensure you get the best from your colleagues, leading a culture of professionalism.

  • Experienced in championing and promoting improvement in the experience of clients.

Job responsibilities

Provide leadership and direction to the day-to-day operational service delivery.

To provide management and leadership to staff and carers, ensuring there is an appropriate structure in place and clarity of roles and responsibilities.

To be Registered Manager of Martlets Care, with the CQC.

Be accountable for CQC regulation compliance and ensure a safe, caring, effective, responsive, and well-led Care Agency is provided, maintaining all documentation and records to demonstrate this.

To provide to support the Martlets charity an internal commercial relationship.

To develop, maintain, and evaluate systems to promote and give access to caring services, inclusivity and preferences are appropriately acknowledged.

To be responsible for quality assurance and clinical and non-clinical governance (through scheduled spot checks, service reviews, internal audits, risk assessments and reporting).

Develop a Martlets Care strategy and manage the agreed strategic objectives of the team.

  • Experienced Care Manager or Service Manager within a care home or care-at home setting E An experienced Registered Manager with a passion for supporting adults with a variety of care needs E A strong understanding of safeguarding, Care Inspectorate, and compliance guidelines E A proven track record in providing the highest quality of service E Experience of all aspects of performance management E Experience of leading a team to provide quality, domiciliary care services
  • Commercial acumen and experience of growing a business
  • Experience of managing care operating environment safely and effectively
  • Detailed understanding of care issues including legislative framework and Clinical Governance
  • A proven track record of clients and carers retention
  • Has strong organisation and planning skills
