Job summary

it most. Complementary therapies can help our patients with symptom control and
also provide emotional benefits, as we aim to make their lives a little easier
at the most challenging time.
The
wellbeing of our patients and their carers, and our own staff and volunteers,
is essential so it's important we find an experienced and compassionate
practitioner, with great interpersonal skills, who can help develop, deliver,
and maintain a high-quality service as part of a small complementary therapy
team.
You
will need to have a degree in body massage and second-degree Reiki as a minimum
and you should have post registration experience as a complementary therapist,
ideally working in a healthcare setting.
Main duties of the job
To be a key
member of the Complementary Therapy team contributing to the forward planning
and development of complementary therapy services.
To contribute
to the effective and efficient delivery of care to patients with life limiting
illness and their families.
To promote the highest
quality of complementary therapy care and support to inpatients, outpatients, wellbeing patients and community patients as
well as carers and the bereaved, working
alongside other members of the multi-disciplinary team.
