Complementary Therapist

The closing date is 02 June 2025

Job summary

This is an opportunity to really make a difference to those people that need it most. Complementary therapies can help our patients with symptom control and also provide emotional benefits, as we aim to make their lives a little easier at the most challenging time.

The wellbeing of our patients and their carers, and our own staff and volunteers, is essential so it's important we find an experienced and compassionate practitioner, with great interpersonal skills, who can help develop, deliver, and maintain a high-quality service as part of a small complementary therapy team.

You will need to have a degree in body massage and second-degree Reiki as a minimum and you should have post registration experience as a complementary therapist, ideally working in a healthcare setting.

Main duties of the job

To be a key member of the Complementary Therapy team contributing to the forward planning and development of complementary therapy services.

To promote the highest quality of complementary therapy care and support to inpatients, outpatients, wellbeing patients and community patients as well as carers and the bereaved, working alongside other members of the multi-disciplinary team.
