Job summary

Kingston GP Chambers are supporting Roselawn Surgery to recruit a part-time receptionist (15 hours per week) to join a well-established practice in New Malden.

The practice is part of the New Malden and Worcester Park Primary Care Network (PCN) and serves patients within the lovely surburban part of New Malden. It's location means the surgery is close to the popular high street and is accessible by bus with it also being in close proximity to the A3 as well as New Malden train station.

Main duties of the job

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient and effective reception service to patients and visitors;
  • Deal with general enquiries (procedures, assisting patients with the website and other);
  • Book appointments via Website or EMIS;
  • Register new patients;
  • Direct, receive and make telephone calls as required;
  • Process of documents and letters sent via post;
  • Filing either electronically or paper notes;
  • Undertake any other additional duties appropriate to the post as requested by the Partners and Practice Management Team.

Roselawn is a well established GP, which is based near the bustling New Malden high street.

The surgery is based within the New Malden and Worcester Park Primary Care Network and provides care to in excess of 6,000 patients.

Roselawn is part of the New Malden and Worcester Park Primary Care Network (PCN) and received a 'Good' CQC rating following it's last inspection.

Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Awareness of and compliance with all relevant Practice policies/guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety
  • A commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice
  • Contributing to evaluation/audit and clinical standard setting within the organisation
  • Contributing to the development of computer-based patient records
  • Contributing to the summarising of patient records and Read-Coding patient data
  • Attending training, meetings and events organised by the Practice or other agencies, where appropriate.
