Main duties of the job

Are you keen to provide people with personalised care and support? Are you good at offering comforting words? Are you courageous enough to stand alongside local people and their families as they face the end of life? If youre answering yes, then St Catherines Hospice would love to hear from you.

Were seeking enthusiastic, caring and compassionate individuals to join our hospice team working on our wards in Crawley.This post is offered on a Bank basis, working adhoc hours as and when required. Qualifications

Essential

  • A good standard of Education, Minimum GCSE English & Maths or equivalent
  • Registered Nurse qualification

Desirable

  • Evidence of professional development in the speciality of palliative care
  • Diploma in Palliative Care/Oncology/Community or working towards
  • Mentorship qualification
  • Independent Prescriber

Experience

Essential

  • Ability to plan, implement and evaluate care

Desirable

  • Some post qualification experience (at least 3 months), general nursing experience
  • Previous palliative care experience

Attitude and Behaviours

  • Demonstrates commitment to St Catherine's vision and values
  • Professional, confident and compassionate approach to work
