Main duties of the job
Are you a motivated individual and do your housekeeping skills match our high standards? We have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly Housekeeping Team.
All our Housekeeping Assistants play a fundamental role in the delivery of outstanding care by ensuring the Hospice is safe and clean, and making our environment feel comfortable for our patients and their loved ones.
You will be responsiblefor cleaning patient rooms and supporting with our in-house laundry service. You will also conduct routine cleaning of public areas and office space, in addition to regular planned deep cleaning,anddealing with emergencies, such as spills.
You will ideally have experience in housekeeping, cleaning, hospitality or a healthcare role, specifically in an inpatient or community setting, but more importantly you will have the ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently. You will have effective communication skills, a flexible approach, a keen eye for detail and have a positive, enthusiastic approach.
You must be motivated, dependable and will enjoy meeting and working with people in a caring environment.
This role is offered on a part time basis, working 20 hours per week, worked over 4 days from Monday to Sunday.Working hours will be either 7.30am-1pm or 1pm-6.30pm, with a 30 minute unpaid break. In addition to your salary, you will benefit from a generous enhanced pay rate for working your share of some weekends and bank holidays.
