Job responsibilities

You will work across the hospice services including the Inpatient Unit, community settings, and the Wellbeing Centre. The Carer and Welfare Support role covers two distinct areas which will require a 50:50 split of the workload. Including early identification of carers and 'hidden carers' and advising patients/carers with financial matters.

  • Experience of working with unpaid

  • Educated to GCSE standard or
  • equivalent

Desirable

  • Qualification relevant to palliative or end of life care
  • Advanced Communication Skills

  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative professional relationships
  • Ability to work within a variety of settings (in the hospice and in
  • community settings)

  • Approachable and adaptable
