We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Staff Nurse to join our forward thinking team on the In-Patient Unit. We need someone who can confidently create, support and maintain a nursing culture that is open to change, new concepts and innovation, whilst influencing Trinitys overall strategy and direction. As part of this role, you will be required to work alternative shift patterns over the 24 hour period to support the needs of the service with an increment paid for nights worked.
Main duties of the job
You will have excellent communication skills and be competent in working across the wider multi-disciplinary team. You will be responsible for improving the patient experience and safeguarding our high standards by nurturing an environment in which excellence in clinical care can flourish, whilst supporting the senior nursing team. You will be responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating patient care and ensuring that the patients physical, psychological and spiritual care needs are met.

Job responsibilities
To provide and plan nursing care and support for patients and their families in the terminal stages of their illness, ensuring processes and procedures are initiated and followed over the 24 hour period.
JOB PURPOSE
Working alongside the Sister/Charge Nurse or senior nurse on duty, as a Staff Nurse you will be working within a multidisciplinary team you will be part of the team to provide holistic care to meet the needs of patients and those important to them. You will develop, implement and evaluate individual programs of care without direct supervision working in partnership with NVQ3 and health care assistants. You will provide guidance and support to the team to ensure high standards of patient care, and support the management of operational aspects for the patients under your care, liaising as appropriate. He/She will maintain high standards of professionalism as outlined in the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
· Supporting the admission/ discharge of patients where appropriate
