Clinical Research Practitioner Paediatric Palliative Care (Band 6)
- Hours:18.75hours per week
- Location: Helen & Douglas House, Oxford
- Salary:£41,598 pro rata per annum

Main duties of the job
As our first dedicated Clinical Research Practitioner, you will help shape the future of paediatric palliative care by embedding research within our Nursing, Midwifery, and Allied Health Professional (NMAHP) workforce. You will lead and support research that enhances clinical practice, contributes to national knowledge, and ultimately improves the lives of the children and families we serve.

Helen & Douglas House is a registered hospice charity based in Oxford, providing palliative, respite, end-of-life and bereavement care to life-limited children and their families.

- Ability to work with data sets.
- Ability to write reports.
- Ability to write research protocols and procedures.

- Up to date with recent developments in palliative care.
- Understanding of national and local context of research within healthcare and the NMAHP workforce.
- Up to date knowledge of safe-guarding issues.
- Health needs in a racially and culturally diverse population.
Desirable
- Experience of Childrens Palliative Care
- High level of knowledge Safeguarding Children and vulnerable adults
Qualifications

- Registered practitioner NMC or HCPC
- BSc or BA degree
- Post registration experience as a clinical research practitioner or equivalent.
- Evidence of Postgraduate Level study
Desirable
- Masters/PhD or working towards.

- Flexible approach to working hours, with the ability to adjust hours as needed to accommodate research.
- Scope for home working, with the expectation to be on site a minimum of two days per week, and to be able to alter days on site to suit service need.
- Not on ISA Barred list from working with children / adults
