Our Income Generation team are looking for an enthusiastic data specialist to join us as a Supporter Data Manager.

Main duties of the job

As Supporter Data Manager, you will lead on streamlining the collection, management and use of our data, which comes from a wide variety of sources, providing our team with the best possible information to enhance our supporter engagement and establish long-term relationships.

We are seeking a Data Supporter Manager who is organised, familiar with data capture, and has an understanding of:

  • How different systems work together
  • How technology can support data development
  • Data protection / GDPR
  • The importance of communication preferences

The overall purpose of this role is to maximise the quality and efficient use of our data to enable voluntary income to be optimised and targets to be met in order for us to deliver our services and enable outstanding levels of supporter care & engagement to be achieved.

This role is responsible for the management of the Donorflex CRM System whichincorporates all data for fundraising, communications and engagement purposes.

The post-holder will deliver a CRM system for the organisation that maximises opportunities for growth and is fit for purpose.

Working as part of the Fundraising Leadership Team and collaboratively across the department and Myton wide, you will take ownership for the delivery of high-quality data processing, ensuring our systems capture the right data about our supporters so we can plan more defined activity to raise the voluntary income we need to deliver our services.

You will identify how to optimise and improve the systems capability and be comfortable managing GDPR compliance, data imports and exports, and be able to provide technical solutions at the same time as understanding how the data supports the success of our fundraising and marketing campaigns.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  1. To take ownership of the Donorflex Database and systems Myton has in placeto capture and manage supporter data, ensure they are compliant and fit for purpose, and lead on developments where necessary
  2. Lead system and data process improvements that will enhance the teams reporting and data capture capabilities
  3. To lead, motivate and support the Donor & Supporter Care team to ensure high quality customer service, accurate donation & data processing
  4. To develop data processes to govern how Myton collects, records and stores donor and supporter information on the Donorflex database to improve the automation of relevant processes and the integration of systems across the organisation
  5. Prepare data for campaigns and appeals, segmenting data as requested by the FLT project lead
  6. Undertake validation/quality checks on the data we hold and deliver improvements where necessary to maximise data quality
  7. Improve Mytons use of all relevant data to monitor, track and improve performance
  8. Work with external stakeholders on data extraction for improved day-to day activity and also for specific campaigns and projects
  9. Work with other database suppliers on all Income Generation activities (including Star Vale Mytons external lottery company and Chariot for all Gift Aid activity) to maximise the value of our data
  10. To take ownership of data governance within the Donorflex Database and ensure Myton is compliant within all data protection and communication legislation and regulations are adhered to, and any changes or updates are actioned
  11. To work closely with the DOIG and lead on the creation and implementation of data dashboards to enable donation trends to be clearly and comprehensively monitored
  12. To work closely with the Finance Department to ensure all income is efficiently recorded and reconciled and reporting systems are in place to track income and enable accurate reporting to meet the needs of the business
  13. 12. To work with the Information Governance Manager on the patient-based data to create clear reporting dashboards relating to Income following episodes of care
  14. To work closely with the Volunteering Department regarding processes for volunteer data held on the Donorflex database
  15. To work closely with the Marketing Department on data required for all communications
  16. To lead on the training and development of the Donorflex system for staff and volunteers and develop user guides and other tools to promote compliance and improve data quality
