St Gemmas Hospice is seeking a Band 6 Senior Physiotherapist who is passionate about delivering holistic care and supporting patients across the Hospice setting. Main duties of the job

This post is suitable for an experienced Physiotherapist who already has experience in fields such as palliative care, respiratory, neurology, long term conditions or cancer related services. This post offers an excellent role in a supportive team working across the In-Patient Unit, Outpatients and Community. The post holder will work closely within the Physiotherapy team, but also with the Occupational Therapy team and other MDT members. Weekends are one in every 8 weeks, with time off in lieu and pay, and we request each team member covers one bank holiday in the year.

Essential

  • Experience of managing/leading other e.g. staff, volunteers and/or students
  • Minimum of 2 years post registration experience
  • Recent experience of multi-disciplinary team working

Desirable

  • Evidence of experience in physiotherapy in palliative care
  • Evidence of service development & innovation
  • Community experience

Qualifications

Essential

  • BSc/BSc Hons/Diploma in Physiotherapy
  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP)
  • Registered with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Demonstration of recent appropriate CPD

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • IT skills Word, email, Systm One or EMIS. Previous use and familiarity with Online platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft teams
  • Car Driver with access to a car with business use insurance
