Job summary

We play a key role in influencing the future of palliative care in Leeds through the citywide Leeds Palliative Care Network. We are a leader in palliative care research, education and evidence into practice and are the first University Teaching Hospice. We provide both in-patient and community specialist palliative and end-of-life care.

  • Post-registration experience in a variety of settings
  • Significant experience at Band 5 in specialist palliative care or caring for palliative care patients in a community or hospital setting
  • Specialist palliative care experience

Desirable

  • Community experience

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse
  • Degree (or willing to work towards)
  • Current driving license (and access to car)

Desirable

  • Qualification in palliative care or relevant training e.g. ECEPC
  • Community nursing qualification
  • Teaching qualification

  • Proven teaching skills
  • Computer literacy with ability to use e-mail, internet, Word, electronic records and literature searching

  • Experience in taking part in research
