Job summary

We are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic healthcare assistant, to provide holistic individualised care and support to children and young people with life-shortening conditions and their families across East Sussex.

Main duties of the job

The role will involve providing personal and clinical care to meet the needs of children and young people as well as creating and providing opportunities for children and young people to experience play, social interaction and learning.

Chestnut Tree House is thechildren's hospice for East Sussex, West Sussex and South East Hampshire, providing specialist palliative care for children and young people with life-shortening conditions.

To assist in providing specialist Children / Young Peoples (CYPs) palliative care including respite provision and end of life care as part of a multi-disciplinary team in children and young peoples homes.

To work within an integrated care team, working within other areas of the Hospice as directed to do so in maintaining service continuity and responsiveness e.g. inhouse team
