Healthcare Assistant

Chestnut Tree house, near Arundel

37.5 hours per week

FTE £23,112 per annum

Chestnut Tree House is the children's hospice for East and West Sussex and South East Hampshire, providing specialist palliative care for children and young people with life-shortening conditions.

We are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic care support worker, to provide holistic individualised care and support to Children & Young People (CYP) with life-shortening conditions and their families.

Main duties of the job

The role will involve providing personal and clinical care to meet the needs of children and young people as well as creating and providing opportunities for children and young people to experience play, social interaction and learning.

This is an exciting time to join the chestnut tree team and be part of transforming and developing the service. Chestnut offers both inhouse and community care, the role will be predominantly providing inhouse care but there may be opportunities to support care in CYPs homes.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role and requires dedication and commitment to ensure children and young people are at the centre of care.
