Senior Nurse (Community Diagnostic Centre)

Job summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Nurse to join our Community Diagnostic Centre team. This is an exciting opportunity for a clinically skilled and forward-thinking nurse to play a key role in delivering high-quality diagnostic services and supporting the team on site on a day-to-day basis.

There are 2 vacancies for this role which will initially be on a fixed term basis with the potential of becoming permanent.

Interviews will be held in person, in York at the Askham Bar Community Diagnostic Centre.

Main duties of the job

Job Summary:

Support the clinical delivery of high-quality diagnostic and clinical services within the Community Diagnostic Centre, ensuring safe, effective and patient-centred care.

Perform and oversee key diagnostic investigationssuch as spirometry, FeNO, ECGs, phlebotomy and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM). While supporting the management of these modalities within the CDC.

Provide support to the Nimbuscare clinical team at the CDC with oversight from the Clinical Managers, contribute to clinical service development, and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and diagnostic pathways.

Lead the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care within the community diagnostic centre (CDC).

Perform and interpret spirometry in line with ARTP standards to support respiratory assessment and diagnosis.

Conduct FeNO testing, ECGs, blood pressure monitoring, and other diagnostic procedures in accordance with clinical guidelines.

Undertake phlebotomy, ensuring safe, accurate and timely collection of blood samples.
